Brand new to the wheel? Start here — no experience needed.

Learn to center clay, pull walls, make bowls and cylinders, and glaze your work.

We offer four and six week versions of this class. The six week version allows for more time to practice and hone your skills.

Most beginners finish the course with about 3–5 finished pieces — handmade, glazed, and ready to take home in about 2 weeks.

Studio tools available, bring your own, or basic tool kits available for purchase.

6 weeks — one class per week, 2.5 hours each.

Clay must be purchased separately—starting at $32 for 25 lbs—which includes glaze and firing fees.

4 Week Class
Week 1: Intro to the Wheel
Learn how to prepare clay, center it, and throw simple forms like bowls and cylinders.
Week 2: Trimming & Refining
Trim and refine your pots, add foot rings, and shape your forms with intention.
Weeks 3: Creative Handbuilding
Week 3 gives us a chance to do a hand building project or finish up any of your wheel projects.
Week 4: Glazing
On the final week we will glaze any pots that have been bisqued.

6 Week Class
